Curatorial Note:
Digital (Dis)embodiments 2.0 explores how the human form is reimagined within virtual landscapes, where identity is untethered from the physical body and continuously reshaped. The show investigates the reconstructed and reconfigured rendering of the anthropomorphic form within virtual landscapes, reflecting on the artist’s embodied agency in crafting new digital bodies.
Originating as a virtual group exhibition on contemporary Indian art, this expanded edition, curated for the Virtual Art House, bridges Eastern and Western perspectives, building on his earlier inquiries into disembodiment through Indian philosophical and aesthetic frameworks. The exhibition examines the intersections of ancient rituals, modern life, and speculative technologies, positioning the digital body as a construct of consciousness.
Here, embodiment, spirituality, and physicality are fluid, negotiated between analog and digital, organic and synthetic realms. The artworks occupy a liminal space, revealing dualities through which the spirit navigates both tangible and intangible realities. Inviting reflection on the shifting nature of identity in the digital age, the project considers presence as simulated, multiplied, and transcended, offering a speculative portal into evolving intersections of media, selfhood, and consciousness.
